Green is on the brain this November, as announcements of sustainable updates and changes to green building legislation keep flooding the news wires. More recent releases, which coincide with announcements from the International Code Council on the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code, hail from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) that set the tone for the new LEED International Program. The introductory certification program aims to further global sustainability among built environments by establishing a global consistency, enabling regional approaches, and providing local outreach and support in regards to green building strategies.
