August 9th has been a day of mixed emotions for me for a long time now. On the one hand, it is the day Jerry Garcia died – a day that either impacts one greatly or not at all.
On the other hand, it is the day the oldest of my sisters was married – a day my family and I fondly remember. (Well, my brother may not remember the day very well, but we remember it for him quite humorously…)
